Message from your Sports Officer
A big Thank You to everyone who competed
at the recent Welsh National Rally. For the first
time in a few years we were able to enter full teams
in all but 2 of the sporting events (17-19 Football
and Netball), with both the 9-12 & 13-16 football
teams making it through to the finals and putting
up tough competition. The 9-12 team were pipped to
the post by South Wales 3-2, whilst the 13-16 were
taken to penalties where they lost to West Wales.
Well done to both teams as
Runners Up.
We also had entries in some of the
individual competitions with:-
Abigail Langan winning
the Cookery, Gail Lewis winning the
Floral, Rose Jones winning the Ladies
Reversing, John Rowlands winning
Owners Improvement, Ashley & Samantha
Hughes each winning their respective catagories
in the Fancy Dress.
The
following North Wales Centre trophies were also awarded
at this rally.
The Gareth Hughes Memorial shield
was awarded to Clwyd Howells
The Girls Netball Achievement Shield
was awarded to Charley Howells
The Bob Williams Trophy was awarded
to Eddie Roberts
The Ladies reversing trophy was awarded
to Rose Jones
well done to everyone who took part
and helped us bring some awards home, remember with
more practice things can only get better. So next
year let's go back there even bigger and better and
bring the rest of the silverware back where it belongs
in NORTH WALES !!!.
