THE 65TH WELSH NATIONAL

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Having just arrived back from the Welsh National I can honestly say I’m overwhelmed by the support and help the North Wales Centre received, the attendance from centres across Wales and beyond made everything worthwhile and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

I would especially like to thank the North Wales Centre committee, working party and helpers for all their hard work and commitment to make the 65th Welsh National such a success.

A huge thanks goes to those of you who marshalled, refereed, judged, officiated and organised events. The Caravan and Motorhome Club is a community and it just goes to show that when we get together anything is possible.

Congratulations to you all.

I can’t tell you how proud myself and Claire are, you have all represented us in the most amazing way. I can’t thank you all enough for all of your hard work, I know it’s been tough but I really think we pulled off our aim to provide a traditional fun packed Welsh National.

Considering our numbers, we have shown what can be achieved through hard work and dedication to our centre.

I will now go through our achievements.

All of the above culminated in the Inter Centre Trophy being awarded to North Wales for the first time in 21 years and also in being the first centre awarded the new All Points Trophy. A truly memorable and outstanding achievement of which I am proud of each of you.

GENERAL CENTRE NEWS
Please note the rally officers have changed to Jason & Claire Ballard for Lleweni Park Rally

NOTICE OF MOTION TO BE DISCUSSED AT 2017 AGM.
This notice of motion has been submitted following recent resignations and discussions with the Club for advice, as it was suggested that the Centre was running illegally regarding the number of members left on the Committee. The Clubs advice was that according to the “General Letters to Centres”
(which are the Club rules) we only need to have a minimum of 5 elected members, 3 of which must be a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer and if desired a vice Chairman, (the Club does not recognise Rally Secretary as an
Officer) up to a maximum of 15 members, as it was, according to the Club we were perfectly legal and they had no issue with our Committee. They did advise us however that we should bring our by-laws into line with the Club rules.

To replace Items 1 & 2 of the Centre by-laws.

1. Constitution of Centre Officers and Committee

In Accordance with “General Letters to Centres” Oct.2016 The Centre Officers and Committee shall comprise a minimum of 5 elected members which MUST include – 1 Chairman, 1 Secretary and a Treasurer and if desired a Vice Chairman up to a maximum of 15 elected members.

2. Quorum for Centre Committee Meetings.

In Accordance with “General Letters to Centres” Oct. 2016 The quorum for a committee meeting shall be any 4 of the elected members.
